Race Dates
You can find the race schedule here. Races are held
at three different tracks; Infineon Raceway, Thunderhill, and Buttonwillow.
Track Information
Details on how to get to the different tracks and lodging available nearby can
be found on the Track Info page. All tracks will
allow camping on the facility grounds for our events; call the tracks directly
for info and to confirm the details & fees, PLEASE DO NOT CALL the AFM.

Spectators have full access to the paddock and can freely browse around, but
there are some safety rules to follow - see the raceday program when you arrive
for the racetrack's list of "do's and don'ts". This is especially important when
it comes to children and pets; for their safety please keep a watchful eye on
them at all times and keep them under control.
Gate Fees are $10 - $12 for adults, kids under 12 are free.
Event Format - what to expect on a race weekend
Saturday
All Saturday practice days are open to pre-entered licensed members. It includes 2/3 day
of practice and races for Clubman, Vintage and Forumula 40 classes. The Endurance race
weekend will have an all day Friday Practice, Saturday will include the Clubman, Vintage and
Formula 40 races and the 4 hour Endurance race.
Sunday
Open practice in the morning until around 10:30.
The first race usually starts at approx. 10:30 to 11:00, with 2-4 races held before
lunch, and the balance of the races recommencing at around 12:30 or so and continuing
to approx. 5:00 pm.
The raceday schedule (order that the different classes are run) usually changes from
race weekend to race weekend, but the AFM's Premiere event, the Formula Pacific
Challenge, is normally held sometime between 1:45 to 3 pm. A preview of the raceday
schedule is usually posted a week before the race weekend and can be found in the Breaking News Section.
