    CoreyClough » Mon Dec 26, 2011 2:19 pm

So, is there talk of having any Solo or Endurance Races at the Thunderhill Rounds?

Looking forward to participating in them.

I requested an Ironman 1-2 hour with fuel stops if needed. Eric might win if you don't have to fill up. 24 laps in an hour @ TH? Awesome!!!

I like endurance racing and once did a 4 hour by myself because my riding partner didnt want to ride my 550 after I got taken out in the old turn 11 by 1000 at Sears. So I said just have gas and gatorade ready when I come in Smile So the longer the better for me....*opening for reply ready*Laughing

So, if we had some endurance races, I take it they would be on a Saturday, after all the racing is complete?

What time do we have the tracks till on any given race weekend?
    Thunderhill ______
    Infineon ______
    Buttonwillow ______

If we could possibly get 1-2 hours at the end of the day, at THill, perhaps we could have an endurance as the race day ender? Smile (just one of the rounds, so not every saturday at THill) I'd be down.

if there is no talk of this within the board, who could we write a proposal too, to see if it's possible to add?

    thanks

    Endurance Racing

    Buick_65 » Fri Mar 09, 2012 3:19 pm

Hello Endurance fans. Saw this thread and thought I'd share with WMRRA's endurance plans for 2012 in case you'd like to participate. Events will be held on May 28th and September 3rd at the Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton, Washington. The Ridge is the newest facility in the country and boasts 400 feet of total elevation change. Our May 28th event will include a two hour race for ultra-lightweight Ninja 250’s, as well as a 6 hour for the light, middle, and heavy weights. The ULW class will be run separately. Minimum purse for the event is $1,600 based on a 10 bike minimum. With sufficient participation the purse could be as much as $8,750! See wmrra.com for more details, or you can swing by the Some Clowns Racing garage at the WERA 6 hour at Miller Motorsports Park!

Like Todd was saying, we have this brand new track called The Ridge Motorsports Park, designed by the same guy who designed Thunderhill. We also have a trrack owner that loves motorcycles, and making it as safe as possible. But this track is no slouch - it's got up/down, on/off camber, a 200 degree carousel turn, a 3000' straight and a 9 story tall downhill chicane that will leave you smilin.

And you can make some money at our Endurance races - a 25 team grid will pay down 7 places overall, and each class. To boot, Bridgestone has kicked in for the top 3 overall, and to 4th in each class.

For more information, email me at endurance at wmrra dot com.

Here's some video of Skid and I at The Ridge on Saturday. What an awesome track to ride. It's just as much fun on a big bike as it is on an SV or a 250 as well.
