    No practice group?

    hitman5532 » Tue Feb 21, 2012 11:32 pm

In Myafm registration, I am not being given a practice group assignment. Is this an issue, or a new thing for the myafm page?

I saw that too, and figured it will change after more entries. Guess I'll have to wait it out and see.

So, practice groups will be assigned during registration/tech? There still isn't any listed on MyAFM.

    Just asking.

This is the reply I received from Paddy:

Groups are not assigned until after close of registration. The procedure is to take all the riders and divide them into equal numbers and then assign the number. It will be printed on your tech slip. I have no way of changing the number manually, it is assigned by your best race time at that track automatically.
    Paddy

Now the "Tentative" Practice Groups are showing. I do understand thay can and will change.

    Thank you Paddy.

While doing my registration for the weekend a little bit ago I saw this notification...it's fairly self explanatory,

"* Practice Grp based on entries received. It can and will change. Please don't call."

I saw that, but last all last year there was a group assigned at as soon as one registered, and it would change based on entries. This Round's registration didn't show any until today.

I have the FM, but it initially was just a question I had.

    Thank you for your feedback.

No problem, anytime..I'm sure Paddy is answering a lot of questions lately(will it rain, will the benevolent fund cover my fuel to BW....ect.) just so we are clear my post was not a jab at you specifically. But reading published rules/and requests would probably extinguish 80% of the questions without generating a phone call to find said answer. There will always be those exceptions as well though.

No problem. I didn't have to know, and Dave suggested I e-mail her, so I did.

Other than that, I'm ready for this weekend, Friday test day and whatever Mother Nature has in store for us.
